this may be the wrong forum for this, if so transport to the right one please. but here goes, i have a broadband internet service, and i have a router hooked up. i am wireless. how do i make my connection secure. the reason i ask is because my neighbor also has wireless, and i can change my connection from mine to theirs. how can i keep someone from doing that to me?

Go to the router's menu *check the manual* and enable WEP encryption, or whatever other type of security it might offer.

yes as the_fiend said check the manuel and try to look for the configuration menu. i have a dlink router and to configure it i should open the internet browser and type 192.168.0.1 so i can open the configuration menu of my router, you too you can do that, but first you have to look in your manuel.
