I have 2 rom drives one of them being the dvd burner and one just a regular cd-rom drive sho how can I make a backup of my dvd? Since I can't just put the dvd in the cd-rom drive since it will not be able to read it. So is there someway I can rip the dvd in dvd format and then take it and burn it?
Download the two free programs DVDShrink and DVDDecrypter from here http://www.filepedia.com/video_software/dvd_rippers/ You will find guides to these programs here http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/shrink_decrypter.html http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/petesguide3.html You will only need one drive to do this because you will rip your disk to your hardrive and then you can insert your blank and burn :~)
@arniebear chobo2 said 1 of his/her drives is a cd-rom. While he/she will learn a lot from the guides (I most certainly did and still do), it can't be done with a cd-rom unless there is something else I need to learn. Actually, after I re-read the original post, it says 2 rom drives and then said 1 of them was a burner.
@arniebear Damn! Just when I thought I might be able to give back to the forum, I have a brain-fart! Guess my wife is right -- I'm having senior moments and they are staying longer.
@tsquare43 Believe me I know those senior moments well, keep having them myself. Seems like I've developed halfzheimers lately :~)
