I'm considering purchasing a Belkin USB 2.0 DVD Creator. I have contacted their tech support to ask what is the highest data rate it can capture MPEG 2 at. Their reply was 480 megabits per second. Could someone please explain to a dummy (me), what this equates to in kps. I know 6000kps is minimun data rate for high quality DVD files, but I can't equate this to megabits per second.

    Thanks for any input.
    Epoc.

I'm not sure what the data rate is, however, your motherboard must support USB 2.0 or you'll need to purchase a USB 2.0 card m8.

480 megabits per second is 60 megabytes per second.Thats the speed for USB 2.0. Way faster than 6000kbits per second.
