I was in Nero7 and thought i was going to burn to a disc my movie files.
The disc allowed 4 films to be put on it and the burn only took about 22 minutes. The disk wont play in my dvdplayer but will in my laptop dvd drive.
Does anyone know what i did? How do i do it again and burn more films in this way?
    Thanks ROd

    Hi ronin4
Just need a bit more info here.
What was the file format of the movies you burned?

Which option in Nero did you use like Burning Rom, Express, Vision etc?

I'm thinking you used the data dvd option in Burning Rom and added 4 avi's to it. If that's the case you need a dvd player that will play DivX also.

Can you talk me through hoe to make a data dvd? From the start of opening nero7?
How much does a dvd player with divx cost? Is it more xpensive than a normal one?
Thanks for the help too :)

A dvd player that plays avi's too shouldn't be any higher in price. Just look for one that says something like DivX certified or something to that affect.

In Nero in SmartStart pick Nero Express>data dvd.
You'll then have a compilation window. On the left click on where the files are.
When you find the file you want click add. The pop window will appear again. You can either hit cancel or add more files.
When done adding files click next and pick the burner if needed.
Set your burn speed on the left (need to click on tab there to open).
    Now click burn.

Oh and no problem on the help :)

My guess is that you burned in Nero Digital. Your DVD must support mpeg4 playback
