    Hi!

    Made an evox dashboard bootdisk:

    1. I used a CD-RW I know works with my xbox (used the same brand when I installed the evox-m7 bios on my xecuter 2.3 lite chip)

    2. Burned an ISO with nero (no juliet, disc-at-once, no multisession and so forth) containing: default.xbe, evox.ini, the skinfolder and a dummyfile called abc.dat (aprox 70 mb).

The box will not recognize the disc. Is the dummy too small? Do I have to use xISO to make the image? What's wrong?

    Thx

i doubt its the dummy file because i never use one and my xbox reads the boot disk on a cd-rw. What program are you using now to make the image?

Yes I believe that is the most common mistake.
After you open nero, go to the MENU BAR at the top of the screen Then go to the FILE menu and select BURN IMAGE. Then it will ask you to select your iso, you do so and then click burn.

But the "Burn Image.." is for existing ISO:s. I choose to burn it as an ISO directly to the disc. (When you get the dialog, you can choose cd-rom(ISO) to the left and burn the files directly into an ISO on the disc) I did the same way when I made my evox-m7 bootdisc.
