Ok, so I have a Xecuter3CE solderless and a 250gig harddrive coming on thursday/friday and I know how to setup the chip and flash the BIOS over http and stuff, but how do I correctly install the HDD? Do i just put it in or do I have to back it up and stuff. If I do, can you help me with it or link a site for it? And I know where to get the programs, like others I go to The usual places.
to install the new hard drive. remove the 4 T-15 screws that hold it in place. remove the 40 pin IDE cable (wide gray cable) remove the 4 pin power cable ensure the jumper on your new drive is set to Master screw the hard drive into place install the IDE cable when installing the new drive make certain the red (or green or blue) wire on the IDE cable is closest to the power connector. install the power cable. you might have to format the drive and create the partitions, I'm not too familiar with the executor chips, but the physical installation is all done.
Put your old drive to one side...download an autoinstaller disk and burn it..then use it to format your new drive and install all the software you want.
I have slayers autoinstaller, Will it work on a CD-R after I put my chip in and flash the bios? Or must I get a cd rw
