Hey guys, looking through my bios last night I came across HPET settings. Stock settings are "enabled" and "32bit" mode.

    Im running windows7 ultimate x64, core i5 750 and gigabyte p55a-ud3p mobo.....

common sense is kinda telling me to set it to 64bit, but not sure. I tried googling, and came up with no real definitive answer to what this should be set to and why?

64bit for x64 systems and 32bit for x86 based systems. there will be no benefit in messing with that timer Unless your using a true 64 bit OS which windows Vista/7 are not.

the default is fine as you going to have more stuff Running under Program Files(x86) anyway.
