What do you guys think of that HD loader CD from ps2?

    Just by curiousity, can you use a regular computer hdd or do you need the one that comes with FF11? thanx

    If you read this thread from the begining, you can use a pc (ide) hard drive also, preferably maxtor/seagate up to 120 gigs.

    so like this could effectively save me, from replacing more lasers in the future as the games will run from the hard disk correct?

    do i need the network apdater even if i plan not to play online?

    vincy, please at least research the product a little first, visit www.hdloader.com - I am not answering any more 'lazy' questions - sorry.

    BTW, I can confirm that there are no issues between using the NTSC and PAL versions of HD Loader - so (for example) if your NTSC version 'breaks' - you can use a PAL version and not have any issues with installed games :)

    the ownz version is a copy that the protection has been removed so u can burn to cd and use on modded ps2
    apperantly sony is send out c&d letters to people selling hdloader i guess a few sites have removed the product but u could always try suprnova and see if u could find the ownz one

    Just received my hdloader in the mail today (bought from eBay). I love it! Load times are reduced by 50% (worst case) to 90%! It was worth the $105 investment ($73 for Maxtor 120GB, $32 for hdloader)!

    Get it fast before Sony makes suppliers stop selling it!!

    whats the link for the PS2ownz verson of the HD LOADER??? I looked around on the site and only found a file that lets you install 1 game thats 1 gig or less.

    Can you load playstation 1 games to the hd? also, i was wonderin if someone knows where to get the a good deal for a 120 gb combatible hd? thanks

    no you can't load PS1 games on it. As far as the HD I Can get you an OEM (brand new but not in a retail box) Maxtor 120GB Ultra ATA 133 2MB CACHE 7200RPM for $100 free shipping

    where everybody get hd loader i tried diveno there so slow. i got my hd from newegg.com so fast(3 days) but still no hdloader disk after 1 week :(

    Looks like HD loader has been pulled from the market. The homepage is www.hdloader.com and says:

    "HDLoader has been withdrawn from the market and will no longer be available for purchase."


    You may be able to find it at a few sites like:

    Hey everybody! i just wanted to spread this a lil'. I found a program called "HDL Dumb" Apparently with this you can connect ur ps2 formatted HD to ur pc and easily (and quickly) add or remove games to or from ur hd... and since it doesnt go thru ps2's copy detection u can add bback up'ed games this way.... I havent tried this for myself but it seems like it would work....just google "hdl dumb"
