Hi. In another post my old dream machine died and I have to get a new one. I'm actually leaning towards AMD since I heard its good for gaming but with the PCI-E and jazz, I feel like a new. Currently looking at AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 90nm Rev. E 939pin CPU Question: What is the 90nm REV. E Stand for??? That and what is a good Graphics card? I used to have a Geforce 5200 FX FSB says 2000 MHZ Is that possible? I though 800 FSB was really high. Anyways here is the website where I need help in buying a Graphics card. Rev versions be it, 1, 2, 3...or A, B, C...are typically generations of a design, or upgrade to the initial design. If you look at it in military aircraft terms, the first one out the plant will be for instance: F-16A F-16B being the two-seat trainer. F-16C being more advance technologies, or different combat roles... etc... Now, about your FSB question. AMD's FSB memory controller is now inside the CPU itself. It runs at core speed. Whatever the core runs, so does it's memory controller. Intel however, is still using the technology of "pumping" it's clock cycles with a multiplyer. 800mhz is just a simple 200mhz FSB with data going in and out 4x per clock cycle. Their 1066mhz FSB is just 266 x 4. You could think of it in terms similar to that of memory sticks, DDR being Double Data Rate (PC3200,2700, 2100)...it's still running on the same frequency as it's older SDR (single data rate - PC150,133,100) counterpart (i.e. 400mhz memory runs on a 200mhz bus, 266 on 133, 200 on 100). But, the data is now traveling on both sides of the signal, instead of just one. As for your video card, you'll be wanting to go with a different board than what you have chosen. Don't stick with an aging AGP system even though the 6800/7800GS models are fantastic. Go for a PCI-E board, and your options will open up farther....btw, you are going to be blown away seeing how far you've come from the 5200Ultra.

I've been on pricewatch and looked at Mobo/Cpu combo for Athlon64 3500+ but all the boards on there have dismal reviews. Is there a Mobo you could recommend? I'm looking for a total price mobo/cpu around $250 ish. Again thank you so much for your help.
