I've been seeing that for many DVDR files. Usually, people say whether an ISO is NTSC or PAL. But lately, many have been having PLD instead of either one of those. What does it stand for? What does it mean?
[bold]PLD[/bold] (Programmable Logic Device) A digital IC (Integrated Circut) that can be programmed by the user to perform a wide variety of logical operations. FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Array) and CPLDs (Complex Programmable Logic Device) are classes of PLDs. Where are you seeing PLD'S? In a DVD file?
PLD also is an acronym that stands for Polish Linux Distribution or PLD could be 'Partido de la LiberaciĆ³n Dominicana' (Dominican Liberation Party). Or PLD - Pulsed Laser Deposition. Or (My favorite....) PLD could be Potluck dinner! Or PLD Post Link Depression- can also refer to a comical internet disorder afflicting people who wish to view a web site only to find out that the link doesn't work!!! Or PLD - potential lunch disruption Or PLD can also signify the web forum expression "OLD", but with an intentional misspelling for comic effect Think I have 'em all... Did I answer the question? LOL!
