i bought a Samsung DVD-R so I could burn something on a DVD and watch it on tv with my new home DVD player.I used DVDSANTA to create the VOB & ISO files(VIDEO_TS Folder) and used Nero Express 5.5 to burn it on the DVD. When I played it on my DVD player it was kind of choppy and paused so much in many places, so basically it buffered a lot. Someone told me that you can have all the best apps but if you are putting it onto bad media then it will stutter / jump / be jerky etc. this is the burner I have: Model--------------------------Type-------Max Read Speed--------Max Write Speed AOPEN DUW1608/ARR---DVD-RW------8467 KB/s (48X)-------8467 KB/s (48X) So my question is that what DVD's should I buy? because I have a feeling that the DVD's that im buying are no good thats why im getting pauses. Also the programs that im using are just fine. So what do you guys think?
You never said what kind of media you are using. My preferences are Taiyo Yuden available on line at http://www.supermediastore.com http://www.meritline.com http://www.rima.com all reputable dealers. Or retail Verbatim, Sony and Maxell. Keep your burn speed down to 4x, faster burning can cause errors and playback problems.
