what files are needed for a dvd to play

    i was jsut wondering if anyone could tell what files were needed to make the dvd to play in a stand alone player. i have the VOB files fo rhte movie but jsut burning those it doenst play. and i have also tried to take all the of the otehr files off the dvd movie (not the other VOB files) but it jsut doesnt seem to want to burn when i do that.

    you need ifo,bup and vob files to play once you'v ripped the dvd correctly you should have something like this

    VIDEO_TS.BUP
    VIDEO_TS.IFO
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_0,IFO
    VTS_01_1.VOB
    VTS_01_2.VOB
    VTS_01_3.VOB
    VTS_01_4.VOB

    the amount of vob files depends on how big the movie is:)

    ok thats. do any of the files have to be in a folder ie: "AUDIO_TS VIDEO_TS"?

    They all need to be in VIDEO_TS

    AUDIO_TS needs to be created in the root of the DVD but it is empty.

    I suggest you read a guide or two because with your level of knowledge you are going to knock out some coasters.
