What format is Itunes?

    When I burn a cd from WAV files on to a disc from itunes to an audio cd... what format is the music in on the disc? Is it mp3, is it still WAV? I would like the3 best sounding (Best Quality) cd that I could have. I am just not sure what format it is even? Thanks

    once a music cd is burned is burned to cdda format thats the format all cd players understand. they are no longer mp3 or wma.

    ok if I import the music to itunes from a folder that is WAV what format is it when I burn it from itunes on to a disc. I understand that it is not wav any longer but wonder what format it is now.
