What FW is safest on live at this point?

Obviously none of them are "safe" but tomorrow i'll be flashing a ts-h943 and immediately going on xbox live. I have done all updates with stock drive and will be flashing with separate power source and playing abgx verified 4th wave game.

Now if you we're planning on flashing a drive tomorrow what version ix would you put on there? I'm thinking 1.6 and using the activation.iso for 4th wave games. crossed my mind that 1.61 doesn't do partition checks and what not so may be a little less conspicuous to m$'s method of detecting fw. Anyone suggest otherwise?

Well, if you absolutely have to do it now, I'd suggest Xtreme 5.3

 

Use iX 1.61, I know someone who flashed with 1.61 right after the majority of the bans happened and he hasn't gotten banned yet. It's almost been 2 months now too.

 

thats why its called a ban wave,,only hits once right before christmas,,try 1.41 if you have a benq,,

stock firmware. easy as that if you want to stay on LIVE without being paranoid if you're going to be banned or not.

 

Can I jump in here with a question, XBOX is not really my strong point, but picked one up recently (for someone else) which has been modded and I am just wondering is it a good idea to go on Live with it at the moment or will it be banned immediately or is it a case that it will only get banned in the next wave of bannings ?

 

I have been on LIVE with Lite-on 1.6 for over a week now and im not banned yet.

i was wondering for those who didn't get banned yet, do you guys update the dashboard before you guys flash the 1.61 firmware?

 

I did the update before flashing. Have been playing street fighter (backup copy) and Tekken 6 (orignal retail copy) onlline and no ban yet.
I am on Lite-on 74 1.61 BTW.

sorry to double post, I just did a xbox live network check and it says that i have been banned. I just dont understand howcome it wasn't banned before when I did the xbox live network check, do you guys think MS has already flagged me during the ban wave? or I just got banned as of right now?

another question, If Iextreme LT came out today and I flashed it with LT, would the LT have saved me from getting banned even though my xbox has already been flagged by MS?

 

When was the last time you had your console connected to the internet prior to receiving the ban message?

To answer your second question, once your console has been flagged, it's just a matter of when you connect your 360 to the internet again before you are banned. People have even tried going back to stock firmware. No dice.

 

You will almost certainly get banned next ban wave. The ban wave is over for the moment (or so it seems).

 

I know and I dont care if I get ban as long as the next wave is in October again =).

It has been flashed for 4 weeks and I have been connecting to live every day.
