what has happened to live music.i was watching some songs which were suppose to be live performances on youtube and the singers cant even lip sync properly let alone sing.Seen ke$sha perform on video hits a few weeks back and it was terrible.out of tune badly and she sounded drunk, actually she probably was.more and more singers release songs everyday and become famous practically overnight and cant even sing.We need more singers and less auto tune.

damn rights.without auto tune some of these so called singers couldnt carry a tune in a bucket.it seems like advances in audio technology has spawned a generation of really shitty singers.

No chance we will get it.. these days it's 90% looks and 10% autotune..

all bloody clones.. I think there is a factory churning out these soundalike/lookalikes ..

Remember The Dead Kennedys? ..what did they tell us all those years ago? .. I got out of the business in 98.. it was filling up with cloned crap R+B (rubbish and boring) and pointless shouters ranting about some crap..

Only people left worth a toss are the metal bands, Manson and Eminem.. and even he's going tits up.

when i think about it i remember in the seventies that when moody blues played live they had a computerized sound system and sounded just like their records.guess its not that new.

Miming to recordings has been going on since the very beginning.. when the film makers realised it was nearly impossible to get decent quality sound on a film.. and musicals were big bucks from the 30's right through to their timely (thank god) demise as the main entertainment output in the early 70's.

I really like The Offspring. Smash is a brilliant album.
