Hey guys. I'm in a dilemma. I am trying to look for a 1080P 42" or 46" TV which costs less than $1800. However, I need something that is good with regular cable cos I am taking it to India, and we don't have HD there right now! So please tell me which TVs are good. Thanks.

You're not going to be happy with an HDTV set looking at standard cable. The picture will be worse on the HD set than on a standard TV, cable fed standard picture. Do you have a friend with HD set that can show you what standard pic looks like on HD? You will be wasting your money if all you want to do is watch cable TV. Different story if you have a HDDVD drive or upconverting DVD player.

Actually i have a HD tv on regular cable and the picture looks terrible if you are about 4 feet from the tv, which is about how far most couches are, BUT if you stand back about 8 feet it looks GREAT :)
