with the SFV you can verfiy if the download is fine or whether the file(s) to be transfered have changed in any way

OMG is a container format similar to AVI

omg can be played on your pc without problems, all you'd have to do is having a videoplayback filter installed for whatever format is inside this omg container (e.g. xvid or divx) and you'll need the ogg direct show filter:

    http://tobias.everwicked.com/oggds.htm

in case you want to convert this ogm load it into virtualdubMOD
    - set video to direct stream and go to file => save as

this will extract the video stream as it comes

the audio, however, will most likely be OGG and this need to be converted

    - go to streams => stream list => select the audio stream and DEMUX it

now you should find an extracted audio stream with e.g. *.ogg extension/format

this ogg will have to be converted to something that can be used for your desired final format

e.g. mp2 in case you want to convert the avi to a dvd
