What is Better Athalon Opteron Or Intel

    hi i just got a hafty settlement and i would like to invest in the dream machien computer but in order to have this computer i need the best CPU out there so my question to the great people of afterdawn.com is what is better of these very exspensive CPU'sIntel

    Pentium 4 extreme edition 3.4GHz, 2mb L3, 800MHz FSB, Socket mPGA-478 HT Technology

    AMD Opteron 848 2.2GHz – Socket 940 – L2 1 MB

    AMD Athlon 64 FX-55 2.6 GHz socket 939 1MB L2 Cache

    and i don't want the obviouse pointed out just overall what is better

    AMD Athlon 64 FX-55 2.6 GHz socket 939 1MB L2 Cache.
    Kicks butt :^)
    Costs less too (but this should not be seen as a disadvantage, LoL)
    Runs circles around the most expensive P4 costing much more, in Doom3.
    For an Office computer - maybe the hyperthreading will help...
