Hi, I have been having this problem for a while now and have tried to see if I can sort it myself but I am at a loss. I currently use Utorrent and have opened the corresponding port on my Netgear router. Things go on reasonably well but from time to time Utorrent reports the port as not correctly open, even though there has been no changes made.

My ISP is AOL, (I know, I know) and I had to remove their spyware program as it kept flagging up Utorrent. I am aware that AOL are throttling ports but surely they wouldn't be able to close the port, or would they?

I have a laptop that runs on the network and was wondering could a conflict between the two settings be affecting this too?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
