ok i know what i did but i dont know what to do about it. i just softmodded my xbox with SID(softmod installer deluxe 2.0?) and that worked out great. The people told me in order to mod halo 2 i had to copy the game to the hard disk then to ftp it to my computer. Well what i did was i tryied to copy halo2 to the hard drive but it didnt have enough block so i think this was my first mistake. I deleated every game i had and even the new maps for halo 2 but didnt deleate 2 halo2 profiles and unleash x and online updater application and dvd2xbox and the dvd player. The hooray halo 2 copied over. Then i got onto flashfxp and copied the whole halo 2 file onto my comp then deleated the single player maps on the hard drive so i would have room for the new maps (probably second mistake). Then i popped in the halo 2 disk went to xbox live typed everything in (4 digit password) and it just like froze. whats up with that? i tryed to log in again and when i typed in the password it just went back to normal insted of logging in. I then later typed in the wrong password on purpose to see what it would do and it says incorrect password. Then i paniced(3rd mistake). i erased halo 2 from xbox but still have a back up of OLD maps on computer. NOW WHAT TO DO PLEASE HELP IM IN MUCH NEED!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where did you boot Halo 2 from? If you booted it from the hardrive it will do that if you booted it from a disc all i can say is to try again. I dont konw if you know this. But in order to get on xbox live you have to put your game in the xbox, then turn the xbox off, then on, and let it boot of of game and sign into XBox Live!!
ok i tried to boot it from hard drive and it didnt have the single player maps so then i tried to log in and didnt let me. Then i turned xbox off put in halo2 turned xbox off and let it boot up and it still didnt let me on xbox live. Then i deleated halo2 from hard drive and i still cant get on xbox live i really need help. And another question im going to get a xbox 360 premium whenever the next shipment comes around and i was wanting to know if i can use my old account on my 360 or do i have to start over new?
also if i cant get halo 2 to play on live again how do u uninstall the softmod? i tried to boot it with disk tray opened and closed and it sill takes me to unleash x dashboard? also i totally f*up'd my friends box by accidently and formatted live G? and now his xbox wont take him to a dash board and he lost all his halo 2 data maps, profiles etc. what do u suggest?
First of all you cant go on xbox live at all if you boot the games from the hardrive.Unless you an extreme modder. The only way is to use an original xbox disc. If you have the original try ejecting the xbox tray, closing the tray with the game still in it, turn off the xbox, then turn on the xbox, It should boot off of the disc. When you come to the halo 2 menu. Now try signing in to Xbox Live.
i tried that but when i tryied to log on it sent me to a black screen with letter saying customer support.
hmmmm. Do you have an M$ Dash backup in? "E:\\Backup\Ms\" If not this could be the possible problem. Also I suspect you didn't softmod you xbox right!!! In a couple of days if you need it I can send you my C and E drive. And you can put it on you hdd and you will be able to use XBox Live.
yea people make sure u do everything right the first time read up on everything ok.also always back-up your ms dash and eeprom i see tomany people not doing this note-when i say back-up make a back up on the xbox then ftp to your pc same with the C drive and E also how did u get halo to even fit on the xbox i know its bigger than 4.5 gb i didnt even have that much room when i softmodded my box???
I used a homebrew app called ConfigMagic. I would recommend you to use this to make a backup of you eeprom! Becarful as you can seriously damage you xbox if you dont use figgin common sense!!! yea zaiah that would be great if you could send me your C and E drive. When i first softmodded i did a bunch of backup stuff. I formatted my friends xbox on accident and he dont have a dash board or nothing what should i do?
and yes there is enough room for halo on xbox you just have to delete like all your saved games then u have like a few blocks left over for saved games but how would i get new maps on the box also i have the original hdd so i might run out of room!
well guess what i did do a back up and stuff so i got my 007 game back went to restore ms back up got the ms 5680? patch and i got my old xbox back but it would really be nice if i could mod
