Hi, I am using WINAVI to convert AVI files to DVD VOB files. But I'm having trouble recording them as a DVD!

Which software should I use? Nero 6 reloaded doesn't seem to work.

Anything that would create a put in the tray and play DVD is fine, but recommendations of softwares which are user friendly, record VOB files into DVD with decent speed and create menus etc are also welcome.

Please helo! Nero 6 seems to be not working, if someone could recommend a specific version of it or even another software..... I would thank you.

I'm also having problems copying those DVDs I create from the AVI files.... Any tips?

    Thank you a lot!

U can use Roxio Easy media creator 7, I dunno why Nero is not working I personally use nero for burning my DVD and works very well (I have nero 6.3.1.19, and nero vission express 2 version: 2.1.2.17) use nero vision express to create your own DVD with menus and all, but If you just want to straight burn the files use Nero express in the option where it says burn DVD video files, tell me how you do ;)

For converting avis into dvd compliant format, try VSO DivxToDvd, a free program.

    Joaquim22,

Can you be more specfic...when you try to burn the files are you choosing the dvd folder or the sub folder within your newly converted files. I did the same thing at first until I realized you have to choose the video_ts folder within the converted file folder. Also divxtodvd is pretty good as well.

@Joaquim22, i use WinAVI video converter myself, quite quick on my fast machine. However it's not free. I have used VSO DivxToDvd, very slow but it works and it's free. As for the Nero problem, if you post relevant sections of Nero logfile, i may well be able to help. (all burns are appended to nero logfile, good and bad)
