I have ad aware, Norton Anti virus, I have Spybot, CWshreader (not that it detects before hand but..) and I still get these spyware files into my CPU. Not to many, but I have gone 6months now virus and spyware free. with the above mentioned programs... Now I get a CWS.Config hijacker. Anyway sorry and thanks for letting me vent. What is the best set up for safe guarding your system before its to late ?? Any opinions????
Ewido is good -> http://www.ewido.net/en/download And Cwshedder often misinterpretes msconfig startupline as CWS.Config-hijacker. Also, post a HijackThis log, instructions here -> http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/263784 (steps 3 and 4).

I have this warez program that keep putting itself in the start up applications at windows start under msconfig. I keep unchecking it, but it still puts it back in there. Aol does this too.

2 things I think helped me the most with spyware was A)Tell Firefox to erase all cookies everytime I exit, (Most spyware, for me, are tracking cookies, so this eliminates them regularly) and B)Installed NoScript, it's an extension for Firefox that let's you control javascript from websites (sort of like a pop-up blocker for javascript.) I'm not even exactly sure what javascript is, but I like being able to block it. Firefox and NoScript are free downloads. https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=722&application=firefox Spyware - I use Ad-Aware, and Spyware S&D, I'll usually scan once every week or two, rotating which one I use. They're both free, as well. [bold]Firewalls are important, too![/bold] - ZoneAlarm - Free

Your log looks clean now...but it's suggested to use anti-virus and anti-spyware apps and run some scans...
yeh as he said you need some... http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/292257 that'll have everthing you need.
I think the best spyware programs are Spybolt R&D and MS anti spyware. I use these 2 programs, they clean up everything.
