My question is, what's the best way to backup Season DVD's such as Star Trek, Friends and etc. but maintain full menus, extras and do it with exceptional quality on a DVD 5. I used to split the files in half and use 2 discs but this takes up too many discs and space.
Most people I've seen around here swear by the CCE and Dvd Rebuilder method. Takes some extra time and some cost involved for long term use, but have heard it produces the best quality. Here's a thread that can get you started: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/179807#954326
AngelOne -- I have had good luck with DVD Shrink when I use the option of "Deep Analysis"--takes quite a bit longer--depending on your spec's--probably twice as long--(my machine almost 45 minutes)--but well worth it for the quality you get--Have a good day Whitfield
I agree with Whitfield, I use Shrink and deep analysis, and if you want better quality I will use the Smooth or Max Smooth enhancement because of the compression. Although it takes sometime you get a better quality disk. I have backed up several seasonal, episodal disks using this method.
