I've been informed that stick on labels are the cause of many of my freezing problems. Does anyone know the best way ( if any ) to remove the labels thus saving the disk without getting the sticky glue all over the disk, what a mess. Thanks in advance.
Thank you for the information. I did that, however, maybe I didn't wait long enough before I tried to remove the label. I"ll wait longer the next time. Thanks again.
Travalon, great tip using a hair dryer and keeping the heat on the label as I peel works perfectly, no sticky paste to deal with and this tip will same me a lot of time and money because I can now save my DVDs instead of recopying them. Thanks
I know it sounds crazy, but peanut butter works great. Rub it on, let it sit for a bit, then rub off, glue is gone.
windex or any glass cleaner will break up the "glue" and a delicate touch w/ a little patience will remove the sticker! I know this will work but if you opt 4 the peanut butter idea tell us how it works!
Thanks all, I used to recopy the disk on a new DVD without a label, however, the hair dryer idea works so well that not only does the label come off the DVD I can still reuse the label on the jewel case or a paper envelope and still have that professional look and I don't have to waste a DVD. Peanut butter ( smooth or crunchy? ) just kidding I'm sure it will work, though, I'm satisfied with the hair dryer. Maybe I'll have a need in the future to use the peanut butter idea and if so I'll let the forum know how it worked. Thanks again.
