I just quit dealing with Nero recode. It was getting on my damn nerves. Im wondering what is the next best software or better software than nero recode for burning dvd back ups.

Side note : The files will come from rips I make with anydvd.

    Thanks.

Hope there isnt already a thread like this.

Why? Nero is cool! And, as far as i know i don't experience trouble using it. It's nice because you can burn all different type and format in one software. Why you get fed up with it? Maybe that can be useful when i encounter it sooner.

    ImgBurn

It's free and does a better job with DLs than Nero ever did.

I ditto that. I've had nothing but problems with Nero, both with burning and transcoding.

I convert my videos with ConvertXtoDVD. Back DVD's up with either DVD Shrink of DVDFab, then always burn with ImgBurn.

Mine is SPAM removed. I've been using it for two years now and I have no problems with it so far. It burned and ripped pretty much all the dvd I had it burn with. I've used as lot of dvd burning software before but this one works really well. Definitely one of the reliable dvd burning software I have tried so far.

I prefer BurnAware Free. It's free and much smaller than Nero or Roxio.

While I'll use Nero for burning data files to DVD I prefer Imgburn for 99% of my disc burning. Oh & DVD Decryptor still works for backing up most movies that I bought. I just have Imgburn make a DL disc from the ISO that DVD Decryptor creates.
