Was thinking about getting a chip for GC, On the forms have seen Qoob SX and Other places heard about Viper. Would appricate any input on the subject. The Qoob SX sounds easlier to install which would be great but I would like to get which ever is best. Is there any guide to the process of backing up a person's games. Also which places are best to purchase such a chip? Thanks to anyone who replies.

Right now, Qoob Pro is the best out. Once Viper Extreme is released, that *might* change since there's a lot of stuff planned for it.

More a matter of how long you're willing to wait. If all you're going to use it for is back-ups just go with a Qoob Pro. If you plan on doing a lot of homebrew it might be a good idea to wait and see how Viper Extreme turns out.

Thanks, I'll go with the Qoob Pro.

Hey, if you haven't gotten the qoob pro yet, the viper extreme is supposively going to allow you to make backups of your games without any other hardware. I would wait for it if it can do that.

Actually, on Divineo the Viper GC Extreme is already on sale. For $54.99 no less. It has USB this time around and even lets you make back-ups via USB. Considering it's the same price as a Qoob Pro, this might actually be a better deal depending on whether or not the BIOS is as good as they promise. Hardware wise, it seems fantastic.

Damn it venom! lol. wish you would have posted a tid bit earlier. I put in an order for one at $65.00. would have been nice to save a couple of extra bucks. ($65.00 and shipping of 5 - 20 days was free).

Maybe posting the link to that offer here would be a good thing for others interested?

    XD

Sorry about that. I didn't realize it was already out until right before I posted that message. The only one I checked was Divineo, but if they have it I'm sure others do as well.
