I'm, really close to buying the Xecuter 2.3b Pro. There are a few questions I have. 1). Does it come pre-flashed? 2). If not, how do I get a BIOS onto the chip?. 3). Should I get anything extra with it? (I'm getting the Xapter with it.) Thanks for the help.
All modchips come flashed with a legal bios. You will need to flash with a bios of choice to be able to load a dashboard. Search the forums for info on this.
A good guide to flashing the bios can be found in the tutorials at the link for team xecuter in my previous post. Read it all the way through, then read it again. Post if you have any questions.
Hi If your not upto soldering I personally would recommend that you go for the xenium with the solderless adapter. The reason I also recommend this chip is that you will never be left with a non booting chip due to the problems the inexperienced can have when attempting to flash its bios "blind" As the xenium has its own operating system that allows you to "see" what you are doing and this is so much better for the inexperienced to follow. Have a look at this chip its a cracker, i would possibly say get a new Xecuter X3 but as they are not out yet nobody can realy say for sure if they are all they cracked up to be ... Regards
