So i just bought a special edition (halo) xbox, don't know what version it is, but i'm guessing its a 1.5 version, i'm looking at the xecuter 2.3blite modchip at system-mods.com, but they are out of stock, i've been looking elsewhere for them on the net, but i'm having trouble locating that specific chip, i saw one at www.gocybershop.com but i read some bad reviews on them, does anyone know where to find this modchip at, at a reliable on line site. I've tried xbox-scene also to help, but no prevail.
I just bought mine at modchip.ca, it came in two days after ordering. I originally ordered from mydigitaldepot, two weeks after ordering they wrote to me and said they lost my order!

I've been told to skip the crossover cable and invest in a router. There are great step by step tuts on this site, do a search or go to the forums for more info.
crossover cable is great for dialup users not running a home LAN, otherwise you have to keep unplugging the cable from the nic, unless of course you use a standard cable and a router, depends on your circumstances. i dont know if it means anything, but my connection speed to my xbox avarages 7,000kb/s +, and I use a crossover
