hey guys i recently got a burner and an epson r220 to print directly to my back up dvds...i am using regular paper for the inserts but i am wondering is there any paper that uses less ink to do the inserts? thanks
This has to do with what settings you use on your printer. You will want less dpi to use less ink. If you want an insert that is only text, you can use draft quality. It will still be readable. Draft quality uses the least ink. However, if you have pictures/scenes, then you may want to use a higher quality. You can also consider colored/tinted paper. This way you can have say a black paper with white text. Basically, you do not want to print backgrounds since they will use the most ink.
i see what you mean...i am making the actual cover of the dvd so i would be using backrounds and images not only text....i guess ill have to stop complaining and spend the money for the ink lol
Yeah, the prettier you make the covers, the more money you spend. You can try however 200dpi vs. 300dpi on your printer settings. Maybe the difference is not so big. I haven't used a printer in about 5 years, so I am not sure how drastic it is.
