What plays on Xbox?

    Do any type of dvd's play on xbox? The dvd+rw I have burned wont play. Does it need chipping?

    well u will need it modding yes!!
    except if its music on the cd then some media brands do work on an un modded xbox, but not many

    What Modding does it require? Actual physical work on it or is it something I can download?

    hardware, u need a modchip, ppl have different opinions on which chip to use but just look around to find one that you want

    You will need:
    1. A mod chip
    2. A downloaded Bios file
    3. Dvd-rw or Cd-rw

    This will allow you to use dvd-rw's to burn games on. Most people however also get a new dashboard (screen that shows up when no CD is in the drive) for their xbox. To get a new dashboard you will also need to find a dashboard file, most commonly used is Evox.

    Ta guys, Pain in the ass all this. Why cant things just work! damm piracy provention. How do I trasfer the BIOS onto my Xbox? how much is chip and is it easy to fit?

    chips range probs around £15-£45, dunno wat that is in dollars
    pretty easy to install, but if u cannot solder get sum1 who can!
