Which encoder produces the highest quality output between QuEnc, FreeEnc, NuEnc & HCEnc? I've read nothing but absolute glowing comments about CCE, but apparently this is extremely expensive to purchase. Is there some form crippled freeware edition that can be obtained or something? How does the output of the CCE encoder compare to the above mentioned? thanks folks!....
I think HCEnc is the best of those 4. I have only used FreeEnc though. I think CCE gets a lot of attention because of its high quality and blazing fast speed. Another thing with CCE is that you can manually change a ton of options to get the output to be to your liking. However, if you do not know much about encoding, and not many do, then don't even bother with expensive encoders. I use TMPGEnc and that is great, just a bit slow. FreeEnc was also very good and fast.
