I don't really care how much time it takes to encode, or how much the program cost, i just want to know what is the best AVI to DVD program that produces best quality possible for a DVD-r?
i think tmpgenc and cce are the best. in terms of quality the cce is better but has less settings than tmpgenc. tmpgenc doesn´t is too much worse and is very good as an alternative if your experiencing problems with cce.
