What software can I use to edit video files?

    I need some software that allows me to edit video files - like deleteing scenes, shortening the length, etc. Any suggestions?

    I have Windows ME, btw.

    Its depends which format the files are, if AVI then a good free programme is VirtualDub.

    How about mpg and mpeg formats?
