Hi...I have a IMAC G3...it does have imovie 2 but I would like to install something a bit more professional though not in thep ricey high end. If I could afford a new rig with all in there already I would. I figure upgrading is my next best bet. I'll be doing some indie film, docum, music video that are not my work where I could get away with imoive2 if need be. Suggestions please?.

    Thanks

I'm not sure if a G3 will run higher end video editing apps, but the two top ones for macs are Final Cut Pro and Avid XPress.

Ok...well so far the things don't sound so promising...I remember people saying that you could install Final Cut...but that was back when the G3 that I got was a newbie/hot thing...so much for memories. In any case a friend of mine says he has Final Cut Express...don't know now if I should buy it. I would sure like to update my editing situation. On the other hand it would be a nightmare if I messed up the G3/imovie2 that I have trying to install something new to it. UGh!
