I have a banned console that has the latest update. It can install games to the HDD but still corrupts profiles and games saves. I bought this solderless tool that can read/write the nand without soldering but it was pretty crappy. I dont want to use that batch con remover each time I want to connect it to a unbanned console to update the profile. Hoq hard is it to solder wires to the board? Is there a current tutorial to do this? I can't jtag this as it has the latest updates but would at least like it to stop corrupting saves and profiles.
Unfortunately, I believe when M$ released the 9199 update, it removes any of the old SecData on there. Thus, you won't be able to fix the corruption. I had a friend who wanted that fix but already applied the 9199 update. When I dumped the NAND, I wasn't able to find any old SecData. You might give it a shot, but I just wanted to share my experience with you.
If all fails, try selling the console and then buy another jasper and flash it. The problem is selling it, especially when achievements can't be earned.
You can still earn achievements, use just have to use a couple program to edit the profile so it won't show as corrupt on a banned console. I may just have to do that rather than trying to read and write the nand.
i know what you can do with a banned console...get games 2 weeks before everyone else because of torrents
try reading the GIANT sticky at the very top. http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-152/a_possible_solution_to_banned_consoles-813166/
