what type of connection is in a TV/DVD combo?

    I'm in the market for a new TV and DVD player and I was looking at the TV/DVD combos since that would eliminate a lot of wires and controllers. I was wondering what kind of connection is built in between the DVD player and the TV. Is it component level or better or composite? If anybody can answer this for me I would appreciate it. Also, whether or not to buy the combo advice would be great.
