What use are you hoping to get from a GC modchip-No Piracy Talk

Hopefully in the next week or two we will have more info on the Viper GC modchip. I'd like to see:

1. Divx/Xvid player similar to Xbox Mediacenter
2. Good emulators

 

well to be honest, playing the GCGenesis+ emulator without the need of PSUL would be cool.
So like ya said, the emu deals would be cool.

But for the record:
everyone hopes it will play backups.
And looks like it's not far from that (can't directlink) but it looks like a 3rd party bios is released that claims to make it possible to read mini dvd-r's with gc games on there.

 

The only problem I have with the backup theory is the cost of Mini DVD's. I mean I bought a gamecube for my daughter and she has a few games for it but I also get worried about her scratching just one of those $50.00 games.

The mini-dvds are about $14.00 for three I think so that isnt to bad (but having just one coaster out of a pack of three would make me cry).

 

A kick butt N64 emulator would make me happy.
