whats the best anti-virus?

    i have norton but i was reading about avast.

    anybody ever here of avast?

    whats the best?new build ,dont want garbage in new pc

    I have been running avast for several years. VERY good program. I have never had a virus get through. I've tons of warnings, but it always catches them. You can scan any drive, any file, any folder, ect...
    I do really like this program. I had Norton and nothing but trouble.

    yea man,norton is big problems,dont want that junk.this avast is free too,awesome man thanks.


    do you know how to pc build?

    im getting my processor and win xp pro today.motherboard came with a cdrom.

    whats that for drivers,so when windows ask me to press f6 i put cdrom in?

    or do i copy everything on a seperate floppy?

    please help if you know.thanks in advance,like the drum kit,kool

    I recomend AVG from grisoft very good antivirus free also norton just dont do it anymore....

    AVG is very good also. I don't know what mobo you bought, but the cd contains all your drivers. It will contain your chip set, audio, graphics, ect. As well as some utilities you may need. Install windows first. Then use mobo disk for your drivers. CD should auto start. I think I answered some questions for you here.

    thanks man yea i know i double post sometimes sorry.this is the hard part dont want to screw up.im getting my sound card today and im going to fire this bad boy up.i posted again about the bios.theres a bios update but its better to do stuff after you install windows.the only thing i have to make is a sata driver disk right?hit i think someone told me f6 when it asks for third party drivers and then windows will install.i install this heatsink star ice by asus what a huge hs and what a pain to install but it looks so kool.yea you play drums kool and i play guitar also a very long time know what you mean about relaxing.that music just calms you right down right?peace bro thanks alot
