    Hi guys,

Am going to get a dual layer / dual format DVD Writer, and was just wondering whether there is a great deal of difference between external drives and internal ones ??
Basically, what im after is to put old home videos (currently on VHS), onto DVD.
After reading a lot of posts on hear, Plextor seems to have a very good write up.

As always, any advice greatly appreciated.

    Cheers guys,
    MadBadPiglet.

I would certainly recommend the Plextor 716A although the Pioneer 108 is a very good drive too :)

The Nec 3500a is also a very reliable drive,i have one warning and i dont know how many people have used these drives but stay away from Nu Tech they are very lousy burners especially their dual layer burner the DDW-163.
