yeah, i know, i posted this in another forum, but noone has responded and i want to get started on this soon..... i have a sony dcr trv-140 (digital8) camcorder, and i would like to make a DVD from my footage. i want to make a good quality DVD, with some smooth editing (i plan to spend a lot of time on it) i have most of my footage on my computer already, i used 1394 instead of usb, i think the quality seems better. i just want to know what the best EDITING PROGRAM is out there to make a DVD from my footage? i want a program that also has some cool special effects... is there a program that can do stuff like you see in music videos, where the camera "shakes", like you see in a lot of metal videos?
also, i want to make "title" screens, so i need a program that can do that too basically, whats the top-of-the line video editing/DVD production program out there right now?
There is a lot of happy users of the Vegas stuff but I can't give you details of it's capabilities. I cap to mpeg and simple edit in Womble. Sounds like your in the market for high end AVI programs.
yeah all my captured files are avi, what format do they need to be when i burn it to DVD? and whats a good avi editor?
well im a editer ! i edited my video with " Adobe Premier Pro 1.5 "i can capture from my DV cam in this program too (capture&edite) link: http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/overview.html and the i use " Ulead DVD Workshop 2 " to create title screen, menu, scene selection , u know like a real dvd !!! easy powerful program !! link: http://www.ulead.com/dws/features.htm good luck !
Edit in virtualdub. Frameserve to Mainconcept or tmpgenc. Author in DVDLab. This is just one of MANY ways to do it.
Use DVD Santa. The Freeware version leaves a 58 second water mark and the rest is fine. Then edit with dvdShrink and knock off the 58 seconds...
