Whats the diff ?

    Can anyone explain the diff between buf, ifo and vob files?

    BUF = backup file of the IFO
    IFO = contains all the data to control how the video should be played (InFOrmation file)
    VOB = contains the video, audio and subtitles

    That's what I thought. Thanks
    So how would I go about writing new IFO files and menus? know where I can get info on that?

    DVD authoring tools are for that. Scenarist, DVDIt, Maestro, etc..
