where you put the pipe in you will see the steel box inside the box under the little vents ... on the red box this little steel box goes back 8 vents and on the blue 12 vents hopr this helps if not try the threads in bold at the top of the forum

no the blue and red both look the same only the inside is different just count back as far as the metal reciever goes where the pipe goes in right in the corner of the box

so they are in ascending order at the moment..

im glad you told me that about bricking becuase i must of just been lucky by choosing the blue software..

next time i will double check, im going to check the box now and see if it is inface a blue

if you go up to the thread at the top of the page which says new eurovox software tested and working started by vardus go into that and go half way down the page to a fella called shelsfan or something like that there is a link there for freewebs eurovox products go into that and there is an option there to show you how to tell a blue box from a red box

just one more thing before i put my down to rest cos ive had a couple of probles with blue boxes this week .. if you are having trouble scanning the channels back in or the box is acting funny then you might have to do what i did flash it with firmware (10/04/2008) and then with (21/04/2008) but if its working ok then sound

yeah mate i actually did have trouble getting the channels back.

i saved the channel list he had and then everytime i tried to put it back onto it the channels messed up, i dont know why it was but i ended up giving it him back with the channels in ascending order.

could do with a saved channel list if you have one that works?

would be appreciated alot. just feel a B**tard giving it him back, channel 1 is channel 40 haha!

if you have one could you let me know?

thanks for all your information and time pal!

If you go to Eamo's Library you can have a look in the EV / Channel Dump folder and see if there is a cdf for your area and provider
