Im using this and every box i try to flash doesnt work.

Im using the correct firmware, loader and doing factory reset and
    updating on s*y s*orts.

When i go and enter new codes then they work ?

I read somewhere in here on anothers guys post a few mins ago that the USB converter + null modem cab,e together is a lot of hassle and it will work better with just the cable.

    Why is this ?

    You do the following:

    1) install the new firmware
    2) do a factory reset/default
    3) do a new channel scan
    4) leave on s*y s*orts 1, 2 or 3
    5) WAIT

The box should find the new keys by itself, usually within 5 mins but some boxes take longer

USB converter + cable is usually the setup for laptops ... There seems to be an issue betweeen the USB drivers and Windows Vista. Direct cable connection is always preferred when available.
