I got a rental (actually library copy) of a film
called suspect Zero. 10 miniute of trailers played
before the show started. Remote has "Top menu" on
it but that locked me out of getting to the play menu.

How can this stuff be bypassed just for viewing?

Use DVD Shrink in re-author mode - do movie only.

Fast forward sound easier. It's just a library loan. Good show
    but not mine to keep.

I've had a few forays into DVD Shrink. The people here
at Afterdawn say I am in desperate need of a hardware upgrade.
