I've have tried each version of the 7.0 series and my burns never work...I've since gone back to 6.6.18....
Version 6.6.0.18 is the best version of Nero6, however I find version 7.0.8.2 the best of version 7, this is the version I recommend and use. Note that if you ARE going to use Nero7, it is recommended that you get rid of any prior "buggy" versions by doing the following. Uninstall, run this clean tool, http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then install the version of choice...as I said mine is 7.0.8.2 and available from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845
There was a flurry over the newest Nero when it was first released a couple of days ago. As usual some had troubles....some had success. Has anyone decided if this is a go or should I stay with 7.0.8.2? I kinda trust the opinions on here regarding Nero. Caper
Hi CBRETON What do you mainly use Nero for? I'm using the latest and have burned quite a few dvd's w/ it using Recode, Burning Rom and Express mainly. No problems using any of these. Only used Vision 1x so far so can't say much there but no problem. I'll be sticking w/ it for now and playing w/ the different apps a bit more. If you not having any problems stick w/ your version for now. See what problems other members may have b/4 upgrading if you like.
Hey there Binkie.... I use Nero for much the same as you but I also use Nero Vision,Wave Editor, Sound Trax and Showtime. I AM holding off for now as my 7.0.8.2 is working fine.....nice and stable. Just wondering if there are more problems out there and not being complained about. Some time ago this forum would go on for days with Nero problems, but it seems to die off quickly now. Guess lots of folks are fed up griping about Nero and nothing being resolved. Guess that's why so many small unique apps are floating around that people use instead of one big unusable lump like Nero. (Image Burn,Shrink,Rip it 4 me,Audacity etc.) Caper
Can't blame you for sticking with what works for you - one reason why I still use 6.6.0.18 on 1 and 7.5 on another. Give it a few days or so - problems with the 'quirks' will probably start being posted. I like the unique apps to - use them myself even if everything is fine w/ Nero. Like choices
