80% of the D/L movies that I convert and burn to VCD using TMPGEnc and Nero have an audio sync problem at some point of the final reproduction. I know that there are many possible factors but I would like to know if the Media type or Burn speed could play a role in this?

The converted movie files play fine on my PC but once I burn them to VCD thats when encounter problems. Noticably at times it seems to happen on the 2nd part of a split file, but again, it appears to play fine on my PC.

    My burner is 40 x 12 x 48x
The burn speed that I burn at is 12x because that is the slowest speed that I can burn with, as for media I have used a variety

    please help.

So after you burn is when you get the sync problems? ok

This could be your stand alone player easily, or could be what u are using to burn. Slow burn speed is also necessery because, think about it, its data coming from the hard drive burning to a disc, so the higher the speed, the higher the resources required and more possibility of a problem!
