ok i just successfully installed a softmod using the linux thing. now heres my problems. 1. Ive heard to get on xbl u have to power ur xbox using the eject button. but wen i try it it just closes the tray and goes to screen that says your xbox needs service, call xbox support. it also has a 21 at the topleft hand of the screen. can som1 explain this please? 2. when i try to get on live using the unleashx dash i get it going. put when i try to enter my pass on the halo2 pass thing it just exits me out of that little menu. can some one explain this? yes i have changed my ip to dchp or watever it is. caus ei heard i may have to do that and by the way wat is cold booting
Erm...it all depends on which softmod you installed. If you follow my tutorial ( the one that is stickied here in this forum) then you would just have to follow the directions at the bottom of the tutorial. But from the sounds of it, you didn't use my tutorial b/c you would have the MS dash come up when you hit the eject button. If you did do my tutorial, then you screwed something up along the way. I would suggest to restore your ms dash through your linux installer and then follow my tutorial with my gamesaves. Everything is in that tutorial that you will need, just check it out.
I'm not good with the getting on Live part but cold booting is when you boot your dashboard off the exploit you soft modded your Xbox with and dual boot is when you turn your Xbox on and your modded dashboard is there.
