I'm an old throwback headbanger myself, I love Classic rock as well as heavy metal, hard rock. ie Metallica, AC/DC, GNR, as well as Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, alot of good stuff. My fav station to find all my hits on is the "Lunatic fringe of American FM, broadcasting from high atop Frog's mountain, 102.7 W...E...B...N... Cincinnati Ohio, USA!!!" W00T!! Check it out at www.webn.com

Now excuse while I bang my head it's Mandatory Metallica time... >=)

Same here with the class rock. Our main rock station here is www.wxrgfm.com 105.9 WXRG I'm a big fan of Boston, Hendrix, Zeppelin, Skynyrd, AC/DC, Cream, CCR, etc...

I also occasionally listen to the alternative sound.

    lmao, everyone loves Mandatory Metallica.

I pretty much listen to everything depending on my mood. Just can't handle too much hard rock first thing in the morning. Gotta start off the day with something a bit lighter.
I can pick up WEBN on my home stereo, but not in the car.

I usually listen to stations out of Louisville, KY.
For rock I dial in 100.5 WTFX

(thong of the day competition on their site)
For other stuff I listen to 99.7 WDJX
    http://www.wdjx.com/
    or
    98.9 Kiss FM
    http://www.wztr.com/main.html

SUH---WEET!!!!! Always nice to see someone from my neck of the woods!!! WAY COOL! My hometown is New Albany, use to rock with Vanetti and crew all the time. Only thing I don't like about the Fox is ever since ClearChannel and the FCC started cracking down on everybody, the Fox kinda got soft for me. I moved to Aurora IN about a year ago, about 20 miles from Cincy. WEBN was the only station,(first station I had ever heard anyway) that didn't edit anything. UNtil the great Janet Jackson boob shot that is. Then the FCC really got it's hairs twisted... LMAO! Oh well. Say hi and keep em' all in line down there! HEY WQMF is cool too! :)

We've actually got our own radio station here in Madison(96.7 WORX), but I usually only tune in to it if I'm in the car and need to hear the Colts' game.
Did you know they pulled the Stern show off of 100.5?

Yet another result of Janet's "wardrobe malfunction"... (cough cough BULL cough SHIT coughcough...) Since The Fox is owned by ClearChannel, they yanked him off all their affiliates. Kinda weird in a way, I was listening to Stern on 9-11, as everything happened. I had just left my old house headed to Birmingham on business. He was going through his normal schtick, then they cut it and said the first plane hit. They all thought it was some accident, and since he broadcast's from NYC it was kinda like having a eyewitness account. Then the second one hit and everybody freaked, they all knew then it was no random accident. My thoughts and prayers to all the families affected by the tragedy.

Clear Channel sucks I listen to Stern on WYSP 94.1 in Philadelphia. Can't wait until he goes to satellite.I would also consider myself a Headbanger and love all the 70's&80's metal bands AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Motorhead, Judas Priest,Ozzy,Megadeth and all the rest. I love Metallicas older music but don't care for the new.Mandatory Metallica 10 pm on WYSP!!!

PINK FLOYD IS THE GREATEST! Zeppelin, the Doors, Steve Miller, Metallica, PANTERA! (RIP Dimebag, we'll all miss you), Chili Peppers.

In the rap category: 2pac, Eminem, Snoop, Outkast, Twista, Dre.

Lil John is THE rap whore!

I live in oregon 101.1 kufo still plays the Stern show out here. My respect goes out to this station as they never censor his show like ive been hearing so many other stations have been doing recently. they leave it just the way it is.

I can't make it through the day withought listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. (on vinyl...sounds better.) I love all classic rock, GNR, Boston, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Clapton, Bob Marley, Rush...other than that, Green Day all the way! Beastie Boys is about all the Rap/Hip Hop I can take. In the car, I usually keep the radio tuned to 106.7 KROQ, or INDIE 103. That is, when I'm not blasting Green Day CDs :)

Hell yeah!! DSotM is definitely their best, Wish You Were Here is another great one.

Ever done the Dark Side/Wizard of Oz thing? It works, I swear on my life.

yeah man, I've done it many times. You cue it right on the third roar of the lion, if I remember correctly. Its very trippy how well the music lines up with it.
