I make my own ringtones from songs I download, it sure beats paying for each one cause I tend to switch them alot. I have an Mp3 phone so the sound is super clear. Can you guys reccomend any good programs to use to do this or inform me on how you guys do it yourselves?
i use a proggy called audacity to take my wma files and shorten them down and pick out the exact piece of the song/movie i want. you can do alot to them make them louder etc.i then save as an mp3, load that into MPT (motorola phone tools,i have a v710) and send them via USB data cable to my phone-DONE! they sound great and it sure beats paying 3 dollars apiece for them.
I have an E815 and I transfer them via Data Cable too. I'll check out this audacity program. Normally I just go to Download.com and choose the first free audio converter and then deleted it after I use it, If this one is good like you say it'll be worth keeping.
it is an awesome free proggy, i,ve been using it for a long time. you do have to download an mp3 encoder plug-in to save your files to mp3 (if they are not already.) i think it's called lame mp3. it's available at the audacity homepage, there is also a very good help forum as well. it did seem a little complicated at first, but that might be just me! LOL
i use bitpm and a combination of freeware to make the tones from my mp3's. sound is nice and clear, phone is Samsung SCH-a850 (the free one from VZW) transfer via USB Cable. Ringer For Wife - N.E.R.D. - Provider Ringer For Non-listed - Beck - Loser Message Tone - Hot Action Cop - Feel The Flava Alarm Tone #1 - Fox Sports NFL Theme Alarm Tone #2 - N.E.R.D. - Rockstar
I have the Fox Sports NFL Theme for one of my ringtones too, but sometimes do you ever notice it isnt loud enough to hear even when your phone is just in your pocket?
i had found a wav of it long ago on one of those wav sites, and i boosted the sound on it by 200% before i put it on the phone. lol i think that one gets more looks then any of the others, people are like wtf?
