Hello, I have "Nero 9 Essentials" 9.4.27.1, on "Windows 7 Starter". Nero came with my "Samsung External DVD Writer model SE-S084F". I opened "Nero StartSmart Essentials", opened "Data Burning", Added data files, and then with a new blank "Verbatim" DVD+R in the external DVD Writer drive, clicked the "Burn" button. After having waited quite some while, nothing occurred, not even an error message. When I clicked "Cancel" it gave a warning about interrupting the allegedly ongoing operation, but there was no activity on the Writer drive. I tried again, this time setting the burn speed to "Minimum", but with the same result. I closed Nero, and completed the operation by instead using the burning option provided in Windows. Windows burned the data successfully to the same individual DVD +R that had been in the drive when I had attempted to use Nero. Please advise how I can successfully use Nero to burn data from my hard drive, to a DVD +R on my external DVD Writer. Regards.
Try the following alternatives 1. Try a new CD and burn a small word document 2. Reinstall Nero and try to burn a CD I dont have any more ideas to help you
